Our country lies in North Yorkshire and covers some 18 miles between the south side of the Yorkshire Moors down into Ryedale and the Vale of Pickering. It stretches some 20 miles from under the White Horse at Kilburn in the west to the outskirts of Pickering in the east.The market towns of Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside are in the middle of the country, with the hunt kennels being mid way between these two towns at Nawton. The Saturday country is above the Thirsk to Pickering road and Wednesday country is south of the road.
