HOME
A very warm Yorkshire welcome to you from us all at the Sinnington Hunt for the 2012/2013 season.
Within this website you will find the history of the Sinnington Hunt, one of the oldest in England, details of the country over which we hunt, a list of who's who, notices of events, and some photographs of us too.
Visitors are very welcome on horse, foot and car. Details of the mounted visitors fees are in the Subscription section. You can contact us regarding visiting by ringing the hunt secretary on 01653 668436.
We hope you enjoy our web site and look forward to seeing you out with us here in the heart of Ryedale, in some of the most beautiful countryside England has to offer.
THE HUNTING ACT 2005
In spite of the dreadful prejudiced ban on hunting with dogs forced on us, using the Parliament Act, by the Labour Government, we continue to exercise our hounds so we are ready to hit the ground running when a Conservative government repeals the Act. Until this day we are engaged in hunting within the law by following trails.
The Sinnington Hunt is run and supported by people who respect the law in its totality, and we cooperate fully with the police in every way possible in order to minimise the impact of this law on their precious time.
We are of course forever grateful to our landowners and farmers for their support and for allowing us to "hunt" over their land. Without them we could not exist.
